I attended a while a ago, with fellow bloggers, a cook-off with Yaduna WHHC in Kitchen Lab, Gemmayze, to shed the light on the relation between nutrition and heart health.
Yaduna WHHC is a medical center founded by our former First Lady, Mrs. Wafaa Sleiman. It is dedicated for screening and preventing heart disease, the number 1 killer disease of women. The NGO’s mission is to continuously improve the lives of thousands of women by encouraging them to lead healthier lifestyles.
As we all know, one of the main pillars for preventing heart disease is nutrition, so we were invited to learn with a renowned cook how to prepare recipes filled with good for the heart fresh ingredients.
After being divided into two groups, we started preparing the starters that was a fresh salad bowl, then we prepared two types of main dish, fish and chicken and a light dessert.
After the meals were ready, we all gathered and tasted the food together .
It was a great experience, thank you Yaduna Foundation for this event and for the awareness initiatives.
I’ve been getting a lot of compliments about my hair lately. Girls loving my natural wavy style , I’m in love with my hair too, it has been long time I didn’t grow it to reach this length and now i’m determined not to cut it.
My hair care routine is very simple. Lately, I haven’t been to the hairdresser unless to trim it around each 6 months , very few blow dries, I don’t use multiple products and I don’t dye my hair.
My hair was a bit drained and dehydrated lately, a bit difficult to comb, that is because I wash it a lot because I go frequently to the gym, harsh sun rays, dry air…
Until I discovered Sebamed‘s wondrous hair care products: The Anti-Dry Revitalizing Shampoo and the Hair Repair Conditioner for all hair types.

Tripoli, the largest city in northern Lebanon , was busy last Saturday by receiving a group of 45 media representatives to rediscover the beautiful city.
We gathered in Down Town and took the pullman to Tripoli, where representatives from جمعية الأسواق القديمة في طرابلس were waiting for us and took us for a one of a kind tour.
At Tall Square, historical place in the heart of Tripoli we gathered and tasted the famous Kaake with cheese.
Famous for its Ottoman Clock Tower, its public Garden, Nawfal Place and many Ottoman and Colonial buildings, the Clock Tower is one of the most popular monuments in Tripoli. It has been constructed in 1901-1902 by the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid as a gift to the city of Tripoli…. The Clock tower has undergone a complete renovation recently in 1995 with fund from the Turkish government and the clock is now operational. It’s a stony construction made of 5 floors. “Al Manshieh” which is one of the oldest parks in Tripoli, is located next to The clock tower and is a very popular attraction.
After a walk through old souks, we reached the Mansouri Great Mosque, also known simply as The Great Mosque of Tripoli, is considered as the largest mosque of Tripoli. It was built in the Mamluk period, from 1294 to 1314, around the remains of a Crusader Church of St. Mary.
Afterwards we went to enjoy a delicious traditional breakfast at Akra. Fresh Bread, Foul, Hommos, and Balila were on the menu
After breakfast we went to check the old souks of Tripoli
Souk El Arid, Souk El Nahasin, Souk El Dehab, Khan El Saboun, Hamam Ezzedine, Citadel of St. Giles…
We tasted traditional sweets and food, like the Halewit El Chmayse, Jazariyeh, the Moghrabiyeh and the Ma3jou2a.
What a better way to end the day, than a boat tour to check the 11 different islands in Tripoli (Including 3 protected islands).
Thank you Tripoli for your hospitality, it was a fabulous day !
Summer is here and Lebanon is known for it’s vibrant nightlife. A lot of places opened recently, others got new items on their menu…
This is my list of the top 10 places to visit this summer, I’m gonna start by sharing my favorite places in Brumana, because it’s my hometown. It has been long time that our beautiful village has been dormant, but this summer it’s something else and i’m so happy that life got back here.
1- Printania Villa
The Villa is one the newest places in Brumana, it gathers several restaurants and pubs, among them: Blackrock, Clown Lounge, Duo, C garden, Spiced and Sliced, Pablo Escobar.
If you want something outside the city, this is the place to go to!
Enjoy a cocktail and nibble on mini-bites at the rhythm of lounge music.
Make sure to pass by on Tuesday for Ribs Tuesday where you can enjoy five choices of Ribs, charcoal grilled with fresh sides & salads and of course Margaritas!
9- Sydney’s – Le Vendome
Cocktails with a view… it’s definitely at Sydney’s!
Make sure to try their new signature cocktails!
10- O Monot Hotel Rooftop
Relax, unwind and enjoy sunset drinks with a panoramic view of the city at O Monot Hotel Rooftop. The setting is very cozy, handcrafted outdoor furniture from the Exteta Zen line designed by Ludovica Roberto Palomba.
It is located on the 11th floor of O Monot Hotel in Monot street.
This Sunday, I woke up with excitement, that was because I was joining the Taanayel Ride with H.O.G.® Lebanon Chapter.
What was special about this ride, is that during Ramadan, the H.O.G.® Lebanon Chapter raised money to help donate a prosthetic leg to a person in need.
With the collaboration of arcenciel, they chose a person who works at the Taanayel Ecolodge and organized the Taanayel Ride to offer the donation.
We gathered early in the morning at Harley Davidson Cedarwoods, where I met the active organizers, the biker that I will be joining during the ride and his specially customized Road King bike.
We departed at 9h00 a.m. and rode all the way to Faraya enjoying the breathtaking landscape on our way.
We had our first break and enjoyed a saj mankouche. Then we hit the road again to Taanayel Reserve, one of the hidden beauties of the Bekaa Valley, where we enjoyed a walk between the trees and were mesmerized by the view of the lake.
Then we had lunch at Khan El Maksoud, where we enjoyed traditional Lebanese fare, on the sounds of nice old songs played live by Oud musician.
Located within Taanayel eco-lodge, Khan El Maksoud was built as a typical Bekaa Village of mud brick houses around a central green courtyard.
After lunch the donation was offered to Mr. Haitham.
Then went back home taking the way of Dhour El Chouweir, Bikfaya…
It was the first time I go for a ride on a Harley Davidson, I’ve done the photo-shoot before but not a ride. I went for few rides on a Steed but it was like ages ago… And not to be compared!
I thought that i’m gonna be nervous and scared all the way and since it’s going to be a long ride, I will freeze and not move.
But Roger’s bike was so comfortable, well designed to carry an extra passenger. Spacious rear seat, just few inches taller than the rider’s seat and with an adequate distance between the two seats.
Wearing comfortable clothes as advised, the helmet provided to me suited me just fine and got briefed on how to be a good passenger.
With excellent control, Roger’s driving was so smooth, made me feel so relaxed, comfortable and safe, I even started taking pictures with my phone, sharing videos on snapchat 😉
It was an amazing day, full of fun and interesting activities. I would like to highly commend the organizers of this ride, the H.O.G.® Lebanon Chapter did a fabulous job in developing, leading and running the event.
A job well done was also topped with a cherry by donating a prosthetic leg to a person in need.
Thank you for making me part of this wonderful and marvelous day!
